Seismic Citizenship Programme Outreach Day

8th Nov 2017

Today, P6/7 took part in the first outreach day of the Seismic Citizenship Programme, in conjunction with W5 and the British Council. Elaine, from W5, and Paulina, our student from Chile, took a whole school assembly.  They discussed what global citizenship really means to the children and the importance of having sustainable development goals in our world.  Our class then performed their Spanish rap and they did a fantastic job!

Paulina then held a workshop, for our class, teaching them some salsa dancing and the children's moves were really great.

The children also got the opportunity to: learn some Spanish phrases; make and decorate a traditional Trarilonko (headpiece); and learn more about climate change and its effects on countries across the world.  The children also created circuits using circuit boards and, all-in-all, had a very educational and entertaining morning.
