P5 have been extremely busy using Minecraft to support what they have been learning in maths. We have been making tessellating shapes and are now busy making symmetrical shapes. We also had a very important visitor from Microsoft who came to see P5 in action. He was very impressed at their skill using Minecraft and their knowledge of tessellation. We will be using the Minecraft program throughout P5 to help us with maths concepts such as 2d and 3d shape, tessellation, symmetry and grid references.
