NI Water Board Visit P5
Today, Anna from NI Water Board visited our classroom as part of our World Around Topic. She told P5 lots of interesting facts about the water that comes to our homes. The class learned about the water cycle, how water is collected and cleaned and exactly what should go down the toilet and sink. Anna told the class lots of interesting facts including how it takes 80 large bottles of water just for one bath, there are 27 water reservoirs across Northern Ireland and that water is as old as the earth. She gave each child a 4-minute shower timer, to use when they have a shower, to try to reduce time spent in the shower and help save water in Northern Ireland.
The class listened very intently and demonstrated excellent behaviour during Anna’s visit. They have also promised to take the 4-minute water challenge at home! Great job, P5!
