P5 began their weather investigation today. What a glorious day to be learning how to record the weather. The children learned how to use a thermometer to tell the temperature, a compass and the Beaufort Scale to measure wind speed and direction and we made our own rain gauge to keep track of the rainfall outside school. Children will each get a chance to investigate the weather themselves over the next five weeks.
