Today was very exciting! Mike Clarke, Chief Executive of the RSPB, visited our class to discuss all the wonderful work we have been doing to achieve our RSPB Action Award. Catherine Gleave, the Education Manager and Philip Carson, the Conservation Officer, also visited too. We took the visitors to the park to show off all the work we have been doing and they were so impressed! Mike enjoyed meeting George at the allotments and seeing where our hidden camera is placed, that has recorded footage of a hedgehog, squirrel, fox and pigeon. We were then presented with swift bird boxes to place in our school grounds, to encourage the birds in to our school grounds. What a great afternoon and well done to all the children, who represented the school to the highest standard!
