We have been so busy exploring how water turns to ice and how we melt ice back to water. Some animals got stuck in ice and we had to explore how to set them free! Some children had fantastic ideas: “we could use hot water” - said Bently, “we can use hammers to crack the ice” said Arwa. All children had a go and they did very well.
We are learning about birds this term and we enjoyed being scientists during play time as we found ‘worms’ in the sand and fed them to our birds, we used play dough to create birds, eggs and nests, we crated bird feeders with cheerios, used different materials to create bird crafts and learned facts about different types of birds.
We love science!
